Prepare accurate, readable information before opening an application. This checklist organizes the questions and document categories that may matter; it does not prequalify you, check your credit or set the lender’s requirements.

Build your preparation checklist
Start with the kind of income you receive and the records already available. Do not upload anything to this page. The exact document, date range and acceptance criteria must come from the actual application reviewer—not from an example used by another lender.
Organize your next preparation step
Select categories only. The output is a reading and preparation list, not a loan decision.
Enter the inputs, then select Show preparation checklist.
This page’s planning tool runs in your browser. Inputs are not saved or sent by this tool. It does not check credit, prequalify you or produce a loan offer.
A completed preparation list means only that you have organized the items you selected. An application may still require additional information or may not result in an offer. If a requirement is unclear, ask for clarification rather than changing the facts to fit a checkbox.
Separate requirements from documents
| Issue | What evidence might help explain | What must still be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Identity and legal capacity | Current identifying information and an accepted identity document. | The product’s required identity evidence and applicable age or capacity rules. |
| Residence | Current address and a record accepted for address verification. | The relevant jurisdiction and the reviewer’s accepted document. |
| Income | Pay records, tax or business records, benefit evidence or other applicable records. | The income definition and period required in the actual application. |
| Account ownership | A record or verification method linking the applicant to the relevant account. | Accepted account types, authorization and secure verification method. |
| Existing obligations | Accurate figures for payments that already come out of the budget. | What the application asks you to report and how the reviewer evaluates it. |
One document may answer several questions, but it does not answer everything. A deposit record shows money arriving; it does not necessarily explain whether the deposit was pay, a refund or a transfer. The goal is a consistent record, not the largest possible income figure.
Resolve mismatched information before submitting
- 1Spot the mismatchOld address, different name, unclear image or unexplained deposit.
- 2Find the real explanationUse the current record and supporting history.
- 3Ask what is acceptedConfirm the correct evidence and upload route.
- 4Submit accuratelyProvide only what is requested; keep the confirmation.
Preparation sequence only. Acceptance of a document depends on the actual reviewer.
An old address
Ask whether a current address document is needed. Do not edit an old statement to make it appear current.
A name change
Use the legal details requested and ask what supporting document explains the difference.
Mixed business and personal deposits
Separate revenue, transfers and reimbursements before reporting the requested income category.
A blurred or incomplete record
Obtain a readable, complete version through the proper issuer. Do not crop away information the reviewer needs.
Choose the guidance for your income
These are ways to prepare, not favored applicant categories. Do not infer an approval rule from an occupation or source of income. Read the actual criteria and notices for the product.
Know what this checklist cannot decide
The tool does not access a credit report, verify an account, calculate an approved amount or apply a lender’s scoring model. It cannot confirm a rate, loan term or state eligibility. No result is labeled approved, eligible or prequalified.
You can also check the payment budget before preparing documents. A person may have complete records yet still find that the offered payment competes with essentials. Use the cash-flow planner for that different decision. Do not enter SSNs, banking passwords, account numbers or document images into public planning tools.
Continue through the verified application route
When you choose to continue, use the application page and read the visible privacy and consent notices. If you receive a later document request, verify that it relates to your application and use the designated secure channel. A request in an unexpected text is not proof of a legitimate lender.
If a form stops working, first ask whether the submission was received. Repeatedly sending the same sensitive information can create confusion. The process page separates a missing document, a pending request and a technical error. FTC: advance-fee loan warning signs
Application preparation worksheet
Two fillable pages: evidence categories, questions for the reviewer and a pre-submission check. No identity numbers or document uploads.

Does completing the checklist prequalify me?
No. It is an organization tool, not a credit or eligibility assessment. The actual application may require different evidence, additional checks or a product that is available in your jurisdiction.
Which income document should I prepare?
Prepare a list of the relevant records you already have, then confirm the specific document and period requested by the reviewer. A pay stub, bank statement and business record do not necessarily prove the same thing.
Can I use a document with a previous address?
Ask the reviewer which current record or supporting explanation is accepted. Do not alter a document to hide the difference. The current address and the document history should be reported accurately.
What if I do not have a pay stub?
Your income may have another evidence route, but the accepted alternative depends on the application. Use the relevant income page and ask about acceptable evidence rather than assuming that a substitute will be accepted.
Will this checklist check my credit?
No. The planning tool on this page performs no report request and sends no answers to an application. A later credit application is a separate process governed by its own disclosures.
Where should sensitive documents be submitted?
Only through the verified channel requested for the actual application. This page has no upload facility. Do not send banking credentials or identity documents to an unexpected email or text contact.
